Federal Roundabout RQ
Our version of a typical 'Roundabout' of this period, we make ours with 12 buttons at the front and a plain 1,1/2" high collar. The jacket is 6 piece construction and features a 'same-colour' as jacket pointed cuff which is fully opening and has two buttons fitted to it. As there are many different versions of these jackets surviving we will happily make this jacket to a different specification for you.

69th New York Militia. 'Special' Shell Jacket for Artillery
This very stylish blue wool jacket was issued to many New York State Artillery units. Fitted with shoulder tabs trimmed in red and 2 belt loops. The collar was also piped but the cuffs were plain. The jacket is fitted with eight SNY Seal buttons to the front and two smaller ones to the shoulder tabs. Lining is black polished cotton with an interior pocket, sleeve lining is natural white muslin (calico). This version has a 'piped' pocket fitted to the exterior left hand front side of the jacket. Schuykill Depot Lined Sack Coat
This is our 'from stock', lined sack coat it is made from a medium weight blue wool serge with a grey or tan coloured wool flannel lining, it is of a three piece body construction, it has a narrower taper to the facing stitching at front of jacket. Lining is three-quarter length, sleeve lining in calico (called muslin in the USA). Buttons are standard medium sized eagle. This Sack Coat is based on the most common surviving Schuykill Arsenal Jackets, for further detailed photographs see the pictures above. Usually available from stock but we can run out in the peak season

Bespoke Lined Sack Coat
This is our 'made to order only' lined sack coat it is made from a medium weight blue wool serge with a distinct green tinge to it, (as described by many soldiers in their letters home) we fit to it a dark tan coloured wool flannel lining, it is of a three piece body construction, it has a narrower taper to the facing stitching at front of jacket. Lining is three-quarter length and left raw as per originals, all the seams are flat felled, the button holes are finished by hand in the proper manner in black cotton buttonhole thread. The sleeve lining is in calico (called muslin in the USA). Buttons are standard medium sized general service buttons. You can choose the colour of topstitching of the jacket from either black, brown or dark blue.
